Dear Colleagues
It is a great honor and pleasure for me to welcome you to the 23rd Annual Meeting of the International BFM Study Group which will be held in Santiago, from Friday April 20 to Sunday April 22, 2012.
The non-public annual meeting of the I-BFM Study Group is a forum to discuss ongoing studies, general issues relating to leukemia and lymphoma and the development of collaborative clinical and laboratory projects. This is a closed meeting. Participation is possible upon invitation by the chairs of the I-BFM SG
The I-BFM meeting will be followed by the 8th Biennial Childhood Leukemia Symposium, which will be held from Sunday April 22 to Tuesday April 24, 2012. The success of the biennial symposia organized formerly in Hannover was repeated in Celle, Noordwijkerhout, Glasgow and Antalya. Top experts of childhood leukemia, both clinical and experimental, come together in these meetings. We hope to combine this unique chance of international collaboration with a pleasant stay in Chile.
In Chile you can enjoy diversity climate and landscapes; the driest deserts of the world, the imposing Andean mountain chain, the south lakes and volcanoes, and the southern area with its magic geography of channels and thousand-year-old glaciers. Special sites are Eastern Island, San Pedro de Atacama, vineyards in the central valley and Chilean Patagonia with Torres del Paine
The country is also recognized by the excellent quality of its wines and its varied sea products.
We are delighted that for the first time these meetings will be held out from Europe.
We look forward to seeing you in Santiago.
Yours sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Myriam Campbell
